iPhone Music Recognition feature now syncs history with the Shazam app

You don't need to have the Shazam app installed on your iPhone for this new feature to work. Apple's Music Recognition feature in the iPhone Control Center can now sync with version 15.14 of the Shazam app. It can now also sync across devices using the same Apple ID. This option has begun rolling out to iPhones running on iOS 15. If you have this feature set up, you can press and hold on the Music Recognition button in the Control Center to see the songs you've "Shazam'd" on your phone.

Apple won't release SharePlay when iOS 15 launches

Source: Apple

SharePlay won't be coming out when Apple rolls out iOS 15 in the fall. The company informed developers that it would disable the feature in the subsequent betas of iOS 15, iPadOS15, tvOS 15, and macOS Monterey. The feature allows users to enjoy content together simultaneously and sync what everyone sees on their Apple devices.

According to Apple, SharePlay will return "in future developer beta releases and will launch to the public in software updates later this fall." As The Verge noted, this is the first prominent iOS 15 that's being pulled back from the launch release, and it leaves us to wonder what else won't make its debut when iOS 15 is rolled out. Universal Control hasn't been included in any of the summer beta releases yet. Apple has done this before with promised features until they're more polished and ready to go.

Apple brings back old Safari tab design in latest macOS Monterey beta update

When Apple released the macOS Monterey beta, one of the things the company changed was removing the tabs bar in Safari. Engadget pointed out that it made sorting tabs messy and tedious, even if it allowed for more screen space to website content. Apple listened to users and brought back the standalone Tab bar with the latest macOS beta update. It will be enabled by default like it was on Big Sur.
