No big changes expected for iPhone 16 series

Apple iPhone 16 to supposedly launch on schedule even as Apple Intelligence is delayed

In a departure from its 2011 strategy, Apple will reportedly release the iPhone 16 in September, even if the core feature, Apple Intelligence, won't be ready until October. Bloomberg's Mark Gurman pointed out in his weekly Power On newsletter how this decision contrasts with the company's previous approach when it delayed the iPhone 4S launch to coincide with the release of iCloud and Siri.

Apple Intelligence delayed, will reportedly arrive in October update

Apple's highly anticipated AI features, collectively known as Apple Intelligence, will not be included in the upcoming iPhone launch in September. According to multiple sources, the tech giant plans to release the AI capabilities through a software update in October.

While Apple is set to introduce Apple Intelligence to developers this week with the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 betas, the service will be exclusive to devices equipped with the A17 and M series chips.
