Cybergeddon is a new digital feature film about the growing threat of cybercrime starring Olivier Martinez and Missy Peregrym. Today also marks the release of the official trailer now live at cybergeddon.yahoo.com. Created by Anthony E. Zuiker who developed the CSI franchise is set to debut on September 25.

Norton Gives “Likejacking” Scams the Thumbs-Down 

Who hasn’t been tempted to click on an enticing video posted to a friend’s Facebook wall, along with an eye-catching tagline such as, “WOW YOU’LL NEVER BELIEVE THIS”?  The allure is undeniable, but often, these video clips are actually “likejacking” attacks, where clicking will result in users “liking” the video and posting it to their own wall.  Worse than being embarrassing and annoying, likejacking could even be used by cyberscammers to infect PCs or steal identities.

Symantec report: "Cybercrime Strikes More Than Two-Thirds of Internet Users"

The next time you surf the Internet, consider this: You might be just one click away from becoming the next cybercrime victim. A new study released today from security software maker Norton reveals the staggering prevalence of cybercrime: Two-thirds (65 percent) of Internet users globally have fallen victim to cybercrimes, including computer viruses, online credit card fraud and identity theft.
