Nintendo to shut down 'Dr. Mario World' mobile game on Nov. 1

Nintendo's Dr. Mario World mobile game will cease to exist after October 31, 2021. The company has announced it's shutting the game down then, with the sale of the in-game currency, diamonds, halting tomorrow, July 29.

‘Dr. Mario World’ goes live a day early

If you’ve been waiting for Dr. Mario World to drop today, we have some good news. The game landed on both Android and iOS a day earlier than the July 10^th release date. This reimagined match-three puzzler follows the trend of games dropping a day or so earlier than its expected release dates. And it’s certainly a change we aren’t going to complain about. By releasing games ahead of its schedule, developers and publishers avoid the potential sudden and massive impact on servers when the game goes live. ‘Dr. Mario World’ is coming to Android and iOS on July 10th

You might have already heard that Dr. Mario World is making a comeback for mobile devices. We now get an official launch date for its release on both Android and iOS. This freemium game is a match-3 puzzle game where you need to eliminate viruses by aligning them with similarly-coloured capsules. You have a limited number of capsules, so you’ll need to be strategic when approaching this game. You can interact with other players, too. You can send or receive hearts from them for extra stamina or even battle them online in versus mode. If you want to shell out money, there are optional “diamonds” that you can cash in for items, restore stamina, or buy new doctors with special skills. Or you can use the old-fashioned way or the free way and earn it yourself.
