Image: Epic Games

Get ready, mobile gamers! Epic Games confirmed its Games Store (EGS), the one challenging Steam on PC, is arriving on both iOS and Android later this year. This marks a significant shift in the mobile gaming landscape. EGS promises a "fairer" deal for developers, offering an 88% / 12% revenue split compared to the industry standard (often 70% / 30% or tiered structures like Google's). Developers can potentially keep 100% of revenue by using their own in-app purchase systems.

While details are scarce, we expect that Fortnite will be available. It's currently distributed through the Epic Games Launcher. The look and feel of the store on Android also remains to be seen.
