Facebook might introduce an Android dialer with call blocking capability

While Facebook Home wasn’t much of a success, they aren’t done experimenting with its mobile apps. A leaked screenshot from Android Police shows the existence of an Android-only dialer app. Its unique feature is that it shows you information about who’s calling you and automatically blocks calls from numbers you commonly block. The app is called Phone but Facebook won’t talk more details about it at the moment.

Motorola aims for Facebook market with Motokey Social

Motorola is going after HTC is the Facebook focused feature phone market according to their new Motokey Social model and strategy. Similar to the HTC Status  which has a QWERTY keyboard, one button access to Facebook and a 2.4 inch screen, plus a 3 megapixel camera, this looks to be a perfect device for the Facebook user who doesn't need all the features (and trappings) of a smartphone. Pricing, availability and whether or not it will be using some flavour of Android is still to be determined. We think it looks like a calculator.

Review: HTC Status Facebook phone

Facebook-happy and messaging-centric mobile users now have an Android smartphone built just for them. The HTC Status (AKA Cha Cha) $29 on a three year plan or $249 outright from Telus, fulfills most of the requirements of a modern QWERTY smartphone but adds the convenience (or hassle) of being connected to Facebook all the time. We find out what's to like or unlike about this new idea in mobile.
