Fitbit Sense, Versa 3 gets status indicators, outdoor exercise mode

The Fitbit OS 5.3 is getting a new update for the Sense and Versa 3 that brings status indicators to these wearables. There will be icons that show up at the top of the watch face for three seconds to give you information on whether do not disturb or sleep mode is on, when you have a "critically low" battery, and when your wearable isn't connected your smartphone. Fitbit announces Charge 5 availability, Calm content coming to app

Fitbit has finally launched the Charge 5 globally, a month after introducing the new advanced fitness tracker. The fitness accessory retails for $229.95 om Canada. You won't be getting access to the Daily Readiness Score and ECG at launch, though. Fitbit says that it will be available in the coming months.

Fitbit launches new band options for the Sense, Versa 3

Aside from the new Designer Collection bands from Brother Vellies and Victor Glemaud, Fitbit is introducing additional bands for the Sense and Versa 3. The Google-owned company also presents a new Fitbit Sense in sage grey/silver stainless steel for $399.95. These new options will be available starting August 25. 

The sage grey band will also be available as an infinity band for $34.95. There are new hook & loop bands in charcoal and coastal blue for US$34.95 (around CA$45), and new vegan leather band options in sand dollar and sea glass priced at US$49.95 (around CA$65). If you want the soft and durable silicone sport bands, there are new colour options in blush/desert bloom and frost white/lunar white for $39.95 each.

Fitbit partners with Brother Vellies and Victor Glemaud for new stylish band options for the Sense and Versa 3. Toronto-native Aurora James introduces a luxe twist to the scrunchie-inspired design of Brother Vellies' strap using premium Horween leather in black and brown. 

Meanwhile, Glemaud takes inspiration from diverse skin tones to create two gender-neutral knit straps, with the bands made from sustainable REPREVE recycled plastic fibres. Both straps work with the Sense and Versa 3. Pricing starts at CAD 49.95.
