‘Flappy Bird’ makes a comeback as Amazon-exclusive ‘Flappy Birds Family’

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen previously said his game will make a comeback but in a better, less addictive fashion. He now calls it Flappy Birds Family and it integrates multi-player support. Nguyen also included more obstacles and ghosts that are meant to distract you. Remember, resist the urge to break your screen out of frustration because the game is still as tricky as ever. If you’re interested to play, you would only be able to get the game from the Amazon Appstore. There is no word yet if it’s making its way to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.

‘Flappy Bird’ creator shows teaser of new game

If you’re done with Flappy Bird, then you might be interested in the new game Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen came up with. Nguyen showed a screenshot of a game he is working on at the moment that is meant to help people “forget about Flappy Bird for a while.” He didn’t release any details but it looks like he kept the 8-bit style he has used for his uber-popular game. It just shows a small helmeted person jumping through what looks like a building.  We’re not sure if this will be as popular as his first game but we are willing to give it a try.

Flappy Bird set to make a comeback

You might have moved on to the next fad but if you still care about Flappy Bird or want to see what all the fuss was about, the game will make a comeback in the future. Creator Dong Nguyen said in a tweet that he wants the game to return to the Android and iOS platforms but didn’t say when. If you’ve waited this long to get into the game, there isn’t any harm in waiting a bit more.

Pebble (kind of) gets Flappy Bird

We all know Flappy Bird has been pulled from Android and iOS application stores but that doesn’t mean clones won’t pop up. Developer Stuart Ha created Tiny Bird for the Pebble smartwatch. And while the 144x168 monochrome display isn’t touch-enabled you can get the same infuriating experience on the watch by pressing the up button on the watch to make the bird flap.
