Amazon has reported that it rolled out an update for its Appstore, which supposedly fixes the issue that Android 12 users have been having for over a month. Amazon tipped to be creating a ‘Prime for apps’ subscription service

Amazon is reportedly working on a new service to get more people to use its Android apps store. According to TechCrunch, leaked documents reportedly show an Amazon “Unlocked” subscription service that will give a range of apps and related in-app purchases free of additional charge. Yes, you can think of it as the Amazon Prime for apps.

Some of its partners reportedly include Sega America (the team behind Sonic Dash game) and UsTwo (makers of the Monument Valley game). And just like with Amazon Prime items, users will be able to filter searches to show only Unlocked apps. There is no word when Amazon plans to unveil this service but it does seem like a good proposition to get more people to use their app store.

‘Flappy Bird’ makes a comeback as Amazon-exclusive ‘Flappy Birds Family’

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen previously said his game will make a comeback but in a better, less addictive fashion. He now calls it Flappy Birds Family and it integrates multi-player support. Nguyen also included more obstacles and ghosts that are meant to distract you. Remember, resist the urge to break your screen out of frustration because the game is still as tricky as ever. If you’re interested to play, you would only be able to get the game from the Amazon Appstore. There is no word yet if it’s making its way to the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store.
