Chitika: iPhone 5 adoption outpaced Galaxy S IV's as per mobile internet traffic

Chitika has revealed its findings that in the two months after launch, Apple's iPhone 5 generated 11% of iPhone web traffic in North America, compared with the Samsung Galaxy S IV's 6% of Samsung smartphone traffic, despite iPhone having a larger installed user base.  

Chitika also says iOS North American web traffic is at 67% compared to Android's 33%. This is up from earlier this month when Chitika said iOS had 65% and Android had 35%.

Telus announces LTE service for Feb 10

Telus finally takes the wraps off its LTE (Long Term Evolution) 4G data network tomorrow and has marked the milestone by announcing a slew of LTE devices including the Samsung Galaxy Note, the Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and the LG Optimus LTE smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 LTE will be available for $649.99 and the LG Optimus LTE will be available for $99.99 on a three year term. The Samsung Galaxy Note will be available for $199 on a three year term.

So, now Samsung is trying to turn the tables on Apple after the iPhone maker filed suit against Samsung for allegedly copying design and functionality elements of the iPhone and the iPad. The earlier suit alleged that Samsung copied the look, product design, packaging and user interface of its products, violating its patents and trademarks and possibly causing confusion in the market.
