Nonda's Hub + for new MacBook gains momentum on Kickstarter

Apple's exciting new MacBook is starting to show up and while it features one singular USB Type-C port, it has opened up a lot of opportunities for third-party companies to create solutions for this limitation. Hub+ offers 2 USB-C ports, 1 SDXC card reader, 1 Display port , 3 USB-A \ charging ports plus one built-in lithium ion battery to charge ANY phone which makes it a must-have accessory for any serious MacBook user.

Interested buyers can head over to Kickstarter and pledge US $79.00 (the price of an Apple adaptor) you get all the above ports in your colour of choice. Five of the 10 limited edition 24K Gold Plated unites (selling for US $3999.00 each) are already spoken for.  The three colors will only be available if we meet the stretch goal of $250k so for now its silver or super pricey Gold.

Connect more devices out of a single USB port with InfiniteUSB

Tired of having to cycle through your devices when connecting to the one available USB port on your notebook? A Kickstarter project wants to help ease your pain with the InfiniteUSB. It’s a USB charging cable with ends stacked like nesting dolls into the back of the connector from the USB cable in front of it. It’s basically daisy chains USB cables and you can stack as many USB devices into a single USB port. It’ll be available in microUSB, Lightning, and Female USB charging ends. A single cable will cost you around US$10 while early bird supplies last. Project has over a month to go and shipping will happen June 15.

Amazon introduces Exclusives section for ‘up-and-coming brands’

Don’t let the name confuse you. The new Amazon Exclusives store isn’t for items sold exclusively on the site. What it does contain are products that have been successful on Kickstarter as well as other “up-and-coming brands.” You’ll see products like the Zackees’s clever cycling gloves, Olloclip phone camera lenses, and Tower’s inflatable paddle board from ABC’s Shark Tank.

What makes it exclusive though is brands have to sign an agreement with Amazon that the site will be the exclusive third-party retailer. But they can still sell it through their site or physical stores. Products in the Exclusives section will be eligible for Prime shipping.
