Leaks of HTC One Mini 2 emerge

Renders of the mini version of HTC One M8 have surfaced online. What are the differences and similarities with its flagship brother? It will reportedly (and obviously) sport less powerful specs and a lower display. The One Mini 2 will also not have the dual-sensor Duo Camera and dual LED flash and will have a different position for the sensors and power button. It will have the metal body but will have a plastic rim around the screen and on top. The color palette seems to be similar to the One M8, too, with brushed silver, gold, and gunmetal options. Other than that, there isn’t any additional information yet. We’d still have to wait for official confirmation from HTC about this smartphone. What do you think? Will you buy a One Mini 2 if and when it comes out?

Leaked render of BlackBerry Z3 points to new entry in emerging markets

Emerging markets have always been steady for BlackBerry and while they've come out with the Q5, there really isn't a candybar-styled entry level device designed for these markets. The Z10 and the Z30 are both flagship devices in terms of specs and pricing. A leaked render of the purported Z3 codenamed "Jakarta", a device BlackBerry CEO John Chen referenced some time ago during an earnings call, shows a rather sleek, utilitarian handset that looks like a pared-down Z10 (the same way the Q5 looked like a very basic QWERTY enabled device). This 5-inch handset is expect to be unveiled at Mobile World Congress and come to market soon after.

Another source, BBIn, posted a list of specs. So, while we take all leaks with a grain of salt and a shooter of Tequila, there are some specifics to ponder on after the jump.

Google is supposedly selling the Nexus 5 in different colors and just ahead of the announcement date (February 4) Evleaks on Twitter posted press render of a red coloured handset on January 31. This Nexus 5 will carry the same specs as the white and black versions and will reportedly run 4.4 KitKat out of the box but will be upgraded to the new 4.4.2 build through an over-the-air update that will appear when you power up the device.

Leaked image of Nokia’s Android-powered Normandy surfaces on Chinese social network

We reported earlier about the potential Android-powered device from Nokia called Normandy. And while we still stand by the idea that the concept won’t turn into an actual product. Someone on the Chinese social network leaked an engineering prototype image of Normandy. It is covered in a protective case but looks quite similar to the image leaked by @evleaks.
