Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 and accessories coming to Canada on June 20

The newly announced Surface Pro 3 will be offered in multiple configurations featuring 4th-generation Intel Core i3, i5 and i7 processors. Specs are available here.

Beginning June 20 in Canada and the United States, customers can visit Microsoftstore.com, Microsoft retail stores, select third-party retailers and commercial resellers to purchase Intel® Core i5 Surface Pro 3 and select accessories. Additional configurations will become available during August, and additional accessories will be available in the next few months. 

By the end of August, Surface Pro 3 and select new accessories will become available for purchase in 26 additional markets, including Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Malaysia, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand and the United Kingdom. Microsoft tipped to release re-mastered suite of ‘Halo’ games for Xbox One

Microsoft wants to give new Halo 5 gamers a chance to catch up with the franchise with an upcoming release. The Verge reports that Microsoft will release past Halo games, including Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, and Halo 4, sometime this year. These titles is said to be released under the Halo: The Master Chief Collection. If these rumours are to be believed, this is good news for those who haven’t been able to catch up with the franchise yet.

Microsoft extends Windows 8.1 update deadline by a month

Microsoft is helping those who have been procrastinating about updating their Windows OS to Windows 8.1 have one more month to do so. The company has pushed back the update deadline to June 10^th. Those who do not update their computers after the date will no longer receive updates from Microsoft. But if you have Automatic Update turned on, we’re sure you already got the update on your device. Microsoft starts Windows Phone 8.1 support on June 24

Microsoft announced at its BUILD 2014 conference that Windows Phone 8.1 will be coming out over the summer and now the company says support for the operating system will start June 24. Its new announcement confirms that the public release for the new mobile OS will arrive sometime in June. Microsoft said support for Windows Phone 8.1 will be until July 11, 2017. This means you will be getting software updates for the OS until said date.

However, you must also remember that the release doesn’t mean you’ll be getting the update immediately. You will have to wait until the carriers and manufacturers send the update to supported devices.
