Nokia 9 tipped to get a dual camera front setup

The Nokia 9 got leaked a few days ago supposedly with a 5-megapixel front camera. But now, GSMArena reports there will actually be a dual camera setup for this phone’s front shooter. The FCC listing has a Chicony CKACE16 module, which according to the manufacturer’s site is a dual camera module. The camera comes with an f/2.0 aperture for one of the modules, the other has f/2.4 lens. The f/2.0 supports 1080p video. It also comes with autofocus. No other details about the lens, though. But we should hear more once HMD Global officially launches the phone.

Delta to swap out Microsoft devices for Apple gadgets

If you’re taking a Delta flight in the near future, you’ll soon see the company’s employees using iPhones and iPads instead of Nokia phones and Surface tablets. The airline plans to switch to iOS devices in 2018. The news about this move came from an email that was obtained by MacOSKen from two different sources; however, Delta hasn’t publicly announced the news just yet. The iPhone 7 Plus will be taking the place of the Nokia phones they use, while the iPad Pro will be replacing the Microsoft Surface tablets. These mobile devices have been used for things like in-flight customer service and sales as well as electronic flight bag. The change will affect over 23,000 flight attendants and 14,000 pilots. Delta says it plans to maintain its partnership with Microsoft but the entire suit of tools used by the pilots and flight crew will be powered by iOS. Delta is joining other Joint Venture partners like Aeromexico, Air France, KLM, and Virgin Atlantic in adopting iOS as its platform of choice.

The new Nokia 7 intros same camera feature as Nokia 8 but in a more budget-friendly form

HMD Global, the company behind the new Android-powered, Nokia-branded devices we’ve started to see on the market, has just filled in a missing piece in its growing line of Nokia devices with the Nokia 7. Previously, the brand has released Nokia 3, 5, 6, and the 8. In terms of specs and price, the Nokia 7 does fit right in the middle of the pack. It comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 processor, 5.2-inch 1080p IPS LCD screen, 4GB RAM with 64GB of storage or 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, support for expandable storage via microSD, and a 3,000mAh battery. This model brings in the Nokia 8’s “bothie” feature, which is basically the ability of the phone’s cameras to take front and rear photos simultaneously. In terms of camera specs, we get a 16-megapixel rear camera with 1.12um pixels and an f/1.8 aperture and a 5-megapixel front camera with 1.4um pixels and f/2.0 aperture.

The Nokia 7 is coming to China first on October 24th with the two models selling at ¥2,499 and ¥2,699 or around $470 and $507, respectively. No word yet when the phone will be launching outside of China.
