Leaked images and rumours suggest the 2025 iPhone SE will feature a notch and a single rear camera (Image: Majin Bu)

Apple is expected to announce a redesigned iPhone SE this week, potentially shaking up its budget-friendly lineup. Rumours point to a website announcement, likely Tuesday or Wednesday morning rather than a full event.

The new SE is anticipated to ditch the home button and thick bezels for a design similar to the iPhone 14, complete with Face ID in a notch and a larger 6.1-inch OLED screen. Other rumoured features include a customizable Action button, a single rear camera (possibly upgraded to 48 megapixels), and a USB-C port.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge rumoured to have tiny battery and slow charging

Photo: SamsungThe Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge may have fallen victim to its design ambitions. A recent 3C certification in China revealed a surprisingly small 3,900mAh battery for the device despite its expected 6.7-inch display. This suggests significant compromises were made to achieve a slimmer form factor.

Furthermore, the certification indicated a 25W charging speed, a notable downgrade compared to the 45W capabilities of the larger Galaxy S25 Plus and Galaxy S25 Ultra models. These findings raise concerns about the Galaxy S25 Edge's battery life and charging times. With a smaller battery and slower charging, users may experience frequent top-ups throughout the day.

Nothing tipped to launch flagship Phone (3) in Q1 2025

Nothing Phone (2) (Photo: Nothing)

A leaked internal email from Nothing founder Carl Pei and shared by Evan Blass, a.k.a. @evleaks, shared what we could expect from Nothing's newest smartphone. The company is supposedly hosting a "landmark smartphone launch" for the Nothing Phone (3), which is being touted as the brand's first flagship phone, in the first quarter of 2025. It will also supposedly be the brand's first device to integrate artificial intelligence features.

Nothing is also focusing on the phone's camera capabilities, with the company expanding its camera teams by 50%. Many smartphone AI features focus on camera capabilities, so this rumoured move isn't surprising.
