OnePlus to launch after-service management app in North America

OnePlus plans to bring its OnePlus Care app to North America to help phone owners who need service support. The after-service management app will be coming to Canada and the US in "late November." The OnePlus Care app can be used to track a device's repair status. Of course, this app will only be useful if you have a secondary device to install it on.

OnePlus has a paid OnePlus Care service in India. It isn't clear if the company plans to bring that to North America as well.

OnePlus 7T starts getting OxygenOS 10.0.5 with Oct. patch

It might seem unusual for OnePlus to have some sort of delay when it comes to updates, but it does happen. The company started rolling out the OxygenOS 10.0.5 update for the OnePlus 7T. The update brings a slightly out-of-date October patch, a fix for the double-tap gesture issue that lets you activate your display even when it's locked, as well as the usual system stability and bug fixes. The update is rolling out globally right now, so keep your eyes peeled for it to head your way.

Android 10 rollout to the OnePlus 6 paused due to fingerprint scanner issues

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS 10, which is based on Android 10, to the OnePlus 6 and 6T. But they had to stop the release to the former because of some problems with the fingerprint scanner. However, those who have the OnePlus 6T should expect the update to head your way soon. The update brings with it new Game Space, improved location and privacy settings, and many more. It's a sizeable 2GB update, and the release is staggered, so don't be worried if it doesn't head your way immediately.
