Adobe Brings the Power of Photoshop Touch to Mobile Phones

Adobe announced the immediate availability of a new version of Adobe Photoshop Touch, optimized for iPhone, iPod touch, and Android smart phones. Inspired by the highly successful Photoshop Touch for tablets, the phone app brings core features of Photoshop desktop software to mobile devices and offers similar intuitive, touch-based gestures and features.

Photoshop Touch coming to iPad tomorrow

Adobe is making Photoshop Touch available to the iPad for $9.99 on the Apple App store tomorrow. Photoshop Touch is a scaled down implementation of he popular image editing program but has all the elements that most users need and is backed by Adobe's Creative Cloud service. Photoshop Touch for iPad appeared briefly on the App Store over the weekend but vanished for some reason.

Adobe's Touch Apps come to Android

Android tablet owners finally get one over their iPad toting friends. Adobe's prodigous assortment of Touch Apps, including the much awaited Photoshop Touch are now available on Android. iOS users? Sorry, Adobe's isn't releasing anything for you until 2012.

We were at Adobe MAX 2011 when they launched these apps (see video above) and were thoroughly impressed by the scope and functionality most of these offered.

Price? US $9.99 a pop. More expensive than your freemium apps for sure but now your devices are actually useful for content creation. Hit jump for the official release.

During today's Adobe MAX 2011 keynote we're standing by for the Nokia Theatre to fill up. We notice the platinum sponsors for the event are BlackBerry, HP, Sony, Samsung.
