Rockstar Games is working on the next 'Grand Theft Auto'

Source: Rockstar Games

If you've been waiting for the next entry into the Grand Theft Auto, it is coming. Rockstar Games confirmed it is working on the next game. "We're pleased to confirm that active development for the next entry in the series is underway," the company wrote in a Twitter post.

Beyond that, the developer hasn't shared any details about what's coming next. All it said it fans should follow the studio for updates on the new game. The last major title came out in 2013, so a new series entry is definitely wanted. The company is still updating Grand Theft Auto V, so you can still enjoy playing that.

Epic Games Store crashes because people want to get 'GTA V' for free

Epic Games seems to have accidentally pre-empted the news that it'll be offering GTA V for free with this now-deleted Twitter ad

News broke last night that the Epic Games Store will be offering the popular Rockstar game Grand Theft Auto V for free. And it seems that's causing issues with the digital storefront. An hour or so ago, Epic Games tweeted: "We are currently experiencing high traffic on the Epic Games Store. We are aware that users may be encountering slow loading times, 500 errors, or launcher crashing at this time and we are actively working to scale. We'll provide an update as soon as we can." The company hasn't acknowledged a now-deleted Twitter ad that teased the upcoming release. But players who were waiting for 11 am ET for the game's release seemed to have crashed the site because of it.

As The Verge reports, it looks like it's causing trouble for other Epic services, too. An official Fortnite Twitter account tweeted they are "investigating issues" on the PC and Mac. Hopefully, Epic Games resolves the issue soon so players can get their hands on the game. But you have to make sure you enable two-factor authentication within the app store. That's now a requirement Epic Games is enforcing. GTA V will supposedly be available for free until May 21.

You’ll need at least 99GB of hard drive space for ‘Red Dead Redemption 2’

It might be time to clear some space on your PS4 or Xbox One if you’re waiting for Red Dead Redemption 2 to come out. Rockstar Games support website showed you’d need at least 99GB of space to accommodate the game—whether you get a digital or physical copy of Red Dead Redemption 2. On the PS4, you’ll need 99GB if you install it via disc. If you get it digitally, you’ll need an extra 50GB for the installation process (which will be freed up once the game is installed). Now for the Xbox One, whether via disc or digitally, you’ll need 107GB of space. Those who pre-ordered the game will be able to start the pre-load process today at 12 a.m. ET. The game officially launches on October 26.
