The most portable Mac retains the thin and light profile that mobile workers and frequent travellers appreciate and becomes  a better vessel for many of  the upcoming macOS Sierra features.

Notebooks and laptops are some of the most important and most personal devices we have today, yet for some reason, these devices seem somewhat stunted in terms of their evolution. Sure, they’re more powerful, new 2-in-1 paradigms have made them versatile for users who want a tablet as well, but for the most part many of the updates and new features seem incremental.

Learning a lot from making iPhones and iPad, Apple created the MacBook to usher in the next phase of personal computing in the notebook and laptop form factor but nothing about the MacBook is common to what’s in the market today.

Apple updates MacBook line with latest processors and new Rose Gold colour

Apple's MacBook has received an upgrade. The ultra-thin and compact notebook now features sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage adds substantial speed. Apple seems to have retained the single USB Type-C port from last year's MacBook.

The new MacBook offers up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 11 hours of iTunes movie playback. MacBooks are offered in Silver, Space Grey, Gold and now Rose Gold. Pricing in Canada is as follows. The 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor, 8GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage for $1,549 (CAD), and with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor, 8GB of memory and 512GB of flash storage for $1,899 (CAD). Configure-to-order options include a 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel Core m7 processor. The MacBook Air line also got an update of sorts now with 8GB of RAM standard across all models. Samsung prepping response to Rose Gold iPhone 6S

Samsung hasn't wasted any time in spray painting the Galaxy Note 5 metallic pink which looks a lot like the Rose Gold variant of the iPhone 6S. Coming to South Korea on October 23, the 'Pink Gold' version of Samsung's flagship phablet might make it to other markets if it proves to be popular.

iPhone 6s sells out online, more than 10 million pre-orders confirmed

iPhone 6s is on track to beat last year's iPhone 6 in terms of pre-order sales. The new iPhone 6s models went on pre-order on September 12 and were reportedly out of stock within two-and-a-half hours in various countries including Canada. Apple, however, expects ample stock to be available when the device hits stores in a week. iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus will ship and be available in Apple Retail Stores and from carriers on September 25.

“As many customers noticed, the online demand for iPhone 6s Plus has been exceptionally strong and exceeded our own forecasts for the preorder period,” the company said. “We are working to catch up as quickly as we can, and we will have iPhone 6s Plus as well as iPhone 6s units available at Apple retail stores when they open next Friday," said an Apple spokesperson.
