Apple updates MacBook line with latest processors and new Rose Gold colour

Apple's MacBook has received an upgrade. The ultra-thin and compact notebook now features sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory. New Intel HD Graphics 515 deliver up to 25 percent faster graphics performance, and faster PCIe-based flash storage adds substantial speed. Apple seems to have retained the single USB Type-C port from last year's MacBook.

The new MacBook offers up to 10 hours of wireless web browsing and up to 11 hours of iTunes movie playback. MacBooks are offered in Silver, Space Grey, Gold and now Rose Gold. Pricing in Canada is as follows. The 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor, 8GB of memory and 256GB of flash storage for $1,549 (CAD), and with a 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor, 8GB of memory and 512GB of flash storage for $1,899 (CAD). Configure-to-order options include a 1.3 GHz dual-core Intel Core m7 processor. The MacBook Air line also got an update of sorts now with 8GB of RAM standard across all models. Apple adds Force Touch trackpad to new 15-inch MacBook Pro, releases new Retina iMac

The Force Touch trackpad feature from the Watch and new MacBook was expected to come to the larger Retina MacBook Pro after Apple started including it in the 13-inch variant and after current iterations of the 15-inch MacBook Pro were being announced as discontinued.

Starting today, the 15-inch MacBook Pro will feature the progressive force touch feature plus faster flash storage, longer battery life and faster discrete graphics to up the performance of Apple's flagship portables. Apple also announced updated 27-inch iMacs with Retina Displays.

Apple Watch comes to Canada on April 24. Price range is from $449 to $13,000

Apple finally released more information on the Apple Watch including launch date and pricing. The new wearable is coming to Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US on April 24. Pricing information for the Apple Watch editions was also revealed at today's event

Apple Watch is available in three collections and two sizes, 38mm and 42mm per collection, Apple Watch Sport, priced at $449 (CAD) and $519 (CAD); Apple Watch, available from $699 (CAD) to $1,459 (CAD); and Apple Watch Edition, crafted from custom rose or yellow 18-karat gold alloys, with prices starting at $13,000 (CAD).

BlackBerry Z30's no contract price will cost $700

The BlackBerry Z30 flagship, which comes to market on October 15 is expected to cost $700 outright. Coming to Bell, TELUS and MTS on the aforementioned date, the Z30 is BlackBerrys attempt to attract phablet users and features a 5-inch Super AMOLED display, a  new 1.7 GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 2GB RAM, an 8MP rear camera, a 2MP front-facing camera and a large 2880mAh battery that's said to last for 25 hours.
