Samsung's Galaxy Nexus is the current 'hero' Android smartphone that natively runs the pure Android (i.e. no laggy overlays) Google's latest software. Relatively slim and with a slightly curved design, the Galaxy Nexus' plastic enclosure and light weight begs to be protected from sudden drops and the harsh realities of everyday life. SlideShow: Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0 smartphone

Finally in hand, here are some early photos of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus Android 4.0 super smartphone. The first Ice Cream Sandwich enabled Android smartphone is coming to Bell and Virgin on Decemeber 8 and will be available to other carriers in 2012. We see the Galaxy Nexus hanging with its rival the LG Optimus LTE as well as its predecessor, the Google Nexus S as well as the new Motorola RAZR.

Bell and Virgin Mobile to release the Galaxy Nexus on Dec 8, $150 on 3-year plan

Galaxy Nexus from Google will be landing in Canada on December 8 at Virgin Mobile and Bell. Both those companies have sign up pages on their websites. Canada gets the goods ahead of the US which still has to announce a release date for the Galaxy Nexus. Check out our first impressions of the device.

Virgin Mobile and Bell to offer Samsung Galaxy Nexus in December

Ice Cream Sandwich for Christmas? It is a possibility as Virgin Mobile and Bell are the first Canadian carriers to confirm that they will be selling the Samsung Galaxy Nexus in early December. They have exclusivity on the hot ICS device until Q1 2012 when other carriers will supposedly bring the device to their customers.
