Samsung starts rolling out Android 12 update to the Galaxy Tab S7, S7+

Samsung has been steadily rolling out its Android 12-based One UI 4.0 update to more devices. The latest ones to get the release include the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+. The stable version of the operating system has started coming to tablets in Europe. The Galaxy Tab S7 gets the firmware version T870BXXU2CULC, while the Tab S7+ gets the version T976BXXU2CULC. Both are also getting the December 2021 security patch. Here's to hoping Samsung releases the update in more regions soon.

Samsung ups its slate game with the Galaxy Tab S7 series

Samsung is one of the few tech companies still invested in making Android tablets. But the manufacturer isn't setting its sights against other Android tablet makers. Instead, it focuses on providing something that can rival the Apple iPad Pro and Microsoft Surface tablets.

There are two variants of the Galaxy Tab S7 available: the Tab S7+ and the Tab S7. The slates were launched alongside the Galaxy Note 20 series at the recent Samsung Unpacked event. The two tablets offer 120Hz refresh rate display, S Pen support, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processors, and Android interface optimized for productivity.

New Samsung Galaxy Tab S7, S7+ press renders leak

As with other upcoming Samsung devices, there isn't any mystery to what the Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ will look like and what will power these new tablets. This time, we get press render leaks from tech insider Evan Blass, who shared the images on his Twitter (@evleaks). Five new photos showed the tablets' keyboard dock, S Pen, and support for Xbox games via Microsoft's Project xCloud service. Samsung teases five new devices in new Unpacked teaser

We've already heard about what devices Samsung plans to launch during Unpacked on August 5. But now we get confirmation from the company through a teaser trailer for the event. We get to see the silhouettes of the Galaxy Note 20, Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Tab S7, Galaxy Buds Live, and the Galaxy Watch 3. Ahead of the event, Samsung revealed the Galaxy Z Flip 5G.
