'Fortnite' to bring back 'Short Nite' film fest on May 12
Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 11:38AM Fortnite's short film festival is making a comeback on Thursday. Epic Games announced that the "Short Nite" film fest would take place on May 12, with 10 movies being featured. Three of the 10 films will be world premieres. Epic will be selling a popcorn-eating emote to round out that virtual viewing experience and celebrate the occasion.
This fourth edition of the film fest will feature nine different custom-built virtual theatres made in the game's Creative mode. You can move between them via Fortnite's discover page. You can group up with up to seven friends. It'll support picture-in-picture so you can watch while playing or checking out other game modes. The festival runs from 2 PM ET on Thursday until May 16.
