Apple Watch Series 3 can track skiing and snowboarding

Thanks to watchOS 4.2 apps like Slopes, snoww, Squaw Alpine, Snocru and Ski Tracks  can now accurately report metrics like vertical descent, distance, number of runs, average speed and calories burned thanks to the built-in altimeter which can develop elevation.

More importantly, this information is gathered and reported towards a user's fitness performance. Being able to track calorie burn, run count, and speed make use of hardware like the altimeter elevation readings, accelerometer and GPS.

SkyLynx App changes the game for skiers with iPhones and Apple Watch

Launching today exclusively for the iPhone and Apple Watch, SkyLinx app offers several functions never before seen in apps for skiers and snowboarders, including the ability to pin point exactly which chairlift or run you and your group are on (including if you’re going UP or DOWN the mountain, and what percentage along you are), location-aware hashtags ("Meet me at #here" becomes "Meet me at KT-22" when you are riding KT-22), and the ability to track actual miles skied. SkiLynx is optimized for the Apple Watch, but also works seamlessly with the iPhone alone.

Foot-in, Collingwood-ready, with Sorels "Cheyanne Reserve" and "Caribou Wool" winter boots


If there is anything in my 29-years on this earth that I've learned from my mother about Canadian winters, it's to always make sure my feet, hands and head are kept warm. Whereas my hands and head are a different story entirely (pun intended), thanks to Sorel Footwear and the boots pictured above, my Jewish mother can rest easy knowing that my feet will stay warm and dry even in the coldest of conditions. 

Let's take a quick look at both boots respectively and talk about why they're both amazing in their own unique right.
