The big Sony PlayStation 4 update to land on September 13
There are a lot of new things heading the way of the PlayStation 4. Sony has confirmed the significant update will be coming to users on September 13. In the company’s newest blog post, Sony has detailed more of what to expect with the latest update. As a refresher, these include high dynamic range video support, redesigned Quick Menu, and home screen folders. The new Quick Menu also allows you to control Spotify music without heading into the app. You’ll be able to select what music you want to have on while playing. The What’s New and content information screens both have simpler interfaces and show improved at-a-glance views of what’s happening.
If you get a PlayStation 4 Pro, you get things like 1080p Remote Play and Share Play streaming, 1080p Twitch live broadcasts, and 1080p YouTube live broadcasting up to 60 frames per second. Those who want to transfer data from one PS4 to another can do so via a wired LAN connection. This should make it easier and faster to transfer games, user info, and saved data. If you’d rather stay wireless, you also have that option, too.
