Spotify starts rolling our offline playback support on Wear OS

Spotify will let Wear OS users listen to their tunes without an internet connection with support for offline playback. The music streaming service has begun rolling this feature out. But there are caveats to this feature. You need a Wear OS 2.0 or newer device, and only Spotify Premium subscribers can download albums and playlists for offline listening. As for podcasts, both paid and free users can download these for offline playback.

Spotify will support AirPlay 2 on its iOS app

After we initially reported that Spotify might not support AirPlay 2 anytime soon, the company clarified somehow that it would be coming. But the streaming giant wouldn't say when it will arrive; it did promise updates "when they become available." It will make it easier to stream music to HomePods and other Apple devices when it does arrive.

Spotify delays AirPlay 2 support release on iOS app

Spotify iOS users waiting for AirPlay 2 support will have to wait a bit longer. The company is postponing its release indefinitely. This news was confirmed on the Spotify Community by a representative of the company. According to Spotify, the development team has been running into compatibility issues with the AirPlay 2 audio drivers, which has become a significant issue that isn't a priority of the company at this time.

Spotify's 'Noteable Releases' playlist showcases new trackers from popular producers, songwriters

Spotify's newest playlist wants to highlight the notable producers and songwriters behind the biggest songs out there. Playfully named the "Noteable Releases," the curated playlist features songs from leading names in the music industry. This week's cover is frequent Billie Eilish collaborator/brother Finneas O'Connell, who has helped her craft her songs. The playlist doesn't just stick to pop songs, but it's obviously heavily represented in the playlist.

This new feature follows last year's release of songwriter playlists and pages. If you're curious about who makes your favourite music, the app continues to let you dig deeper. As Engadget noted, you can see who worked on a song by simply tapping on the three dots icon and select Show credits.
