Apple Watch preorders and previews start on April 10

While Apple Watch is shipping on April 24th, the best way to experience it first hand is to schedule a visit to Apple's Retail Stores and try it on. Apple has revamped various of its retail stores to allot space to Watch and best help cutomers try and choose their latest products and accessories.

Interested customers can preview and pre-order the wearables on Friday, April 10. Customers in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the UK and the US can try on and experience Apple Watch at their local Apple Store. Customers can pre-order their Apple Watch through the Apple Online Store (www.apple.ca) beginning April 10 at 12:01 a.m.  or PDT 3:01 a.m. Eastern for delivery beginning April 24.

Sony closing all of its Canadian retail stores, 90 employees laid off

It was a bad news day for retail Canada with the announcement that Target would shut down Canadian operations. The bigger news for consumer technology watchers was that Sony would close down all 14 of its Canadian retail stores including the five flagship stores in Toronto.

Apple Retail Store in Carrefour Laval to reopen on February 16th

The redesigned Apple Store at Carrefour Laval, is opening on February 16th. Said to be bigger and better than ever. There are more Apple products available in the floor, including stocks of Apple's newest products like iPhone 5 and iPad mini. There will be bigger spaces for workshops, training, or to meet with a member of the Business Team. The store will feature a bigger Genius Bar as well.
