Something creepy lurks in new ‘Stranger Things’ Season 3 teaser

Just a few moments ago, we got a rather disturbing look at what could be lurking in the town of Hawkins, Indiana. Yes, that’s right. Stranger Things is coming back and we’re being told: “it’s almost feeding time.” And this means rats, apparently. A teaser was just released on the show’s social media accounts and all we see are rats running away. Are they running away from something sinister or towards something to feast on? We’re not quite sure, but the upside down smiley face is telling. Now, we can’t wait for the full trailer to drop. Stranger Things Season 3 is coming on July 4th.

‘Stranger Things’ will come back on July 4, 2019, releases first teaser for the next season

It’s finally here. Or at least we know it’s finally coming back. Netflix has just teased the upcoming season with a timely teaser. The Stranger Things 3 teaser dropped a few seconds into New Year’s Day by showing off the timeline of the new season, which is set in the summer of 1985, by opening on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rocking Eve from the said year. There are many cryptic shots that we’re sure fans are going to continue to analyze until we get more details. Two key clues offered in the trailer include a computer screen with the highlighted phrase “When Blue and Yellow Meet in the West” and a hidden figure typing out commands to launch the program “SilverCatFeeds.exe.” We’re only ever really going to make sense of these when the eight-episode season drops on July 4, 2019. But feel free to dive into the world wide web and theorize away. We’d love to hear your thoughts.

New ‘Stranger Things’ trailer teases possible key location

A new Stranger Things season 3 trailer shows us what could be a key plot location for the new season. The 1:26 minute clip introduces us to Hawkins, Indiana’s newly opened Starcourt Mall. With it being described as opening in 1985, this seems to set the new season a year after season two. We can’t exactly glean how important this location will be but Steve (played by Joe Keery) and Robin (Maya Hawke) are seen working at Starcourt Mall’s Scoops Ahoy Ice Cream shop. Netflix hasn’t revealed a release date yet for the new season but the trailer does hint at “summer next year.”

David Harbour: ‘Stranger Things 3’ might not come back until 2019

Netflix

While it only took a year between season 1 one and season 2 of Stranger Things, that might not be the case for the upcoming season. As you can see, season 2 was already greenlit for a writer’s room when it debuted in 2016. This time, though, it seems to have taken Netflix a bit longer to confirm the news and according to one of the show’s stars David Harbour ak.a. Chief Hopper, the Duffer brothers are still working on the script for the third season. Harbour says they most likely won’t start filming until April. “Like any good thing, [Ross and Matt Duffer] need time. And those guys work so hard. I mean, they just sit in their apartment and write for 12, 14 hours a day.” While you might be disappointed with the news, think of it this way, we get a better show the more time they get to work on it.
