TELUS Health brings MyPet virtual pet care platform to Ontario

TELUS Health recently announced the expansion of its TELUS Health MyPet to Ontario. This service offers virtual support for non-emergent situations involving your beloved pets. You can access the consultation notes within the app and medical records can be shared with your regular veterinarian.

The TELUS Health MyPet app is free to download for iOS and Android. Consultations with Ontario-based vets are charged on a per-session basis. In Ontario, all veterinarians working through TELUS Health MyPet are affiliated with Toronto-based Pet Telemedicine Veterinary Care. Trupanion also waives enrollment fees for TELUS Health MyPet users when they subscribe to a Trupanion policy.

New TELUS Health Originals documentary takes a look inside the Opioid Crisis

TELUS released the first installment of its new TELUS Health Originals documentary series, a heartbreaking look at the public health emergency devastating North America through a new documentary: Painkiller: Inside the Opioid Crisis. Available on YouTube and on the TELUS Optik TV Healthy Living Network on channel 346 in western Canada, the film illustrates how the ravages of opioids are felt far beyond heavy drug users revealing how they are now devastating families and communities across every race, gender and socio-economic status.

TELUS Health opens its doors to Innovation Centre in Toronto to reveal services and products

TELUS Health opened its doors to its Innovation Centre in Toronto for a look inside a few specific health services and products. The event kick-started with remarks from Paul Lepage in a speech to tell us why TELUS is in health and how we can demonstrate the power of health through technology. Taking a holistic view to the health industry, TELUS Health has made almost a billion dollar investment to date and is on a path to help improve patient care by removing current barriers and creating a seamless flow of information between all members of the healthcare continuum – from hospitals to family doctors, from pharmacists to patients.

Telus Unveils Toronto's First Corporate Urban Garden

During National Environmental Week, Telus unveiled Toronto's first corporate urban garden to generate fresh, local, organic produce for charitable organizations in the Greater Toronto Area. The garden is located at the Telus House, a LEED Gold-certified office in the downtown core. 

As part of their corporate commitment to a healthier work space and ongoing commitment to the community, volunteer Telus staff will tend to the garden year-round and sell their harvest to the staff in exchange for donations to be made to local charities.
