Levi's Canada launches the global first Double Portal Lens on Snapchat

Recently, Levi's Canada launched an innovative consumer experience that is a Canadian and global first in the Snapchat AR space. The new initiative was designed to demonstrate sustainability through the digital experience and to drive brand engagement with the Snapchat generation. 

Through the social media platform, Levi's sustainability AR Snapchat Experience is an immersive Double Portal Lense that allows users to explore Levi's products. It also offers a unique way to learn how the company is integrating sustainability as a key component of product development as well as their brand values.

Nespresso announces collaboration with Swedish bike company Velosophy

The single-use coffee capsule industry has been under the watchful eye of consumers worldwide but one company takes great strides in its recycling program. Nespresso is constantly looking for innovative companies to collaborate with and to encourage us to think about next level recycling. This time, it's with Swedish bike company, Velosophy. 

Earlier this week, Nespresso announced the collaboration with Velosophy in creating RE:CYCLE - stylish and meaningful bicycles made with recycled Nespresso capsules demonstrate the potential of recyclable aluminum.

Dell uses reclaimed automotive windshields in backpacks

Why write about sustainability on a tech website? With the increasing trend of global waste generation, it’s worth a moment to consider the environmental impact of all these devices in our markets. Instead of the environment being an after-thought, Dell Technologies has intentionally incorporated sustainable solutions as an overall business objective. For example, since 2008, they’ve been using recycled water bottles and CD cases in PC’s, displays, and servers. “The sustainability concept is integrated into our design strategy. It’s already embedded in our DNA so everything we’ve designed, we’ll think of the product from end-to-end,” explains Vivian Tai, Senior Manager (APJ Region), Global Product Compliance & Environmental Affairs.

Telus Unveils Toronto's First Corporate Urban Garden

During National Environmental Week, Telus unveiled Toronto's first corporate urban garden to generate fresh, local, organic produce for charitable organizations in the Greater Toronto Area. The garden is located at the Telus House, a LEED Gold-certified office in the downtown core. 

As part of their corporate commitment to a healthier work space and ongoing commitment to the community, volunteer Telus staff will tend to the garden year-round and sell their harvest to the staff in exchange for donations to be made to local charities.
