Nintendo Canada gives a sneak peek for the holiday season

We're just entering the holiday season and pretty soon we'll be making our wishlists. At Nintendo Canada's holiday preview event last night, media were giving a first look at the new games and judging my my 10 year old gamer, the list is going to be long! Among the games that were previewed at the event include...

The highly anticipated Super Smash Bros. (Wii U) is definitely on the "want" list with over 50 new features for this version and a special mode that allows eight players simultaneously get in on the action. But wait...the launch of the game scheduled for November 21st, also coincides with the introduction of the new Amiibo interactive figures.

New trailer for ‘Assassin’s Creed Unity’ shows off customization, co-op features

Wanting its gamers to get the most of out the new Assassin’s Creed game, Ubisoft has released a new trailer to talk up the customization and co-op features of the game. The two features influence each other in the sense that character customization will affect co-op gameplay. You won’t just be able to customize the appearance of your assassin but do armor and weapons upgrades as well. You can carry a heavier sword that does more damage but will compromise your speed and strength. There are countless options to try once the game is released in November 11^th for the Microsoft Xbox One, Sony PlayStation 4, and PC.

Watch_Dogs Live now available on Android

Watch_Dogs Live finally makes its way to the Android operating system and is up for free download on the Google Play Store. The Canadian-exclusive app has already reached over 19,000 downloads of the iOS version and has ranked in the top 30 most downloaded free apps on the Canadian App Store. Players stand a chance to win items such as Sony PlayStation 4 consoles, Sennheiser headset, gift cards from EB Games Canada, and limited edition items from Frank & Oak. The grand prize at the end of the campaign includes a 2014 Watch_Dogs SCION tC and and invite to the Watch_Dogs launch party.

Ubisoft also unveiled a teaser for one of the real-life hacks, Crack for Cash. We’re sure this will keep you preoccupied until the November release of this hot new video game franchise.

Ubisoft launches Watch Dogs Live app

Inspired by Ubisoft’s highly anticipated open-world action game, Watch Dogs Live is an immersive multiplayer mobile game that wants to turn you into Canada’s ultimate hacker. The game will have you joining secret hacking group Dedsec to prevent a greedy media magnate from using hacking for personal gain. You will use geo-location and allow the app to put you into a map of your city where you will compete to gain control of vulnerable sites. This four-part special mission is going to give you a chance to experience real-life Watch Dogs situation and win great prizes before the game officially drops later this year.

The app is free for download on the Apple App Store and Google Play. If you’re interested in joining in on the fun but don’t have an iOS or Android device, you can visit the Watch Dogs Live site and sign up.
