‘Wonder Woman 2’ gets officially announced

It isn’t something that surprises us in any way but at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con, Warner Bros. officially announces that Wonder Woman 2 is happening and Gal Gadot will be reprising her role as Diana Prince a.k.a. Wonder Woman. The first film is considered the DC Extended Universe’s most profitable movie yet with it grossing around US$767.7 million worldwide since it hit theatres on June 2^nd. It quickly surpassed other DCEU films like Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Suicide Squad. It also broke records for director Patty Jenkins as the film became the highest-grossing live-action movie to be directed by a woman.

Speaking of Jenkins, Warner Bros. hasn’t announced yet if she’ll be coming back as her deal was for one movie. But she has spoken before about her plans for the sequel, where she wants to take Wonder Woman back to America. Here’s to hoping she gets to tell the tale again. No word on when the film might come out as well.

Pacific Rim gets Super Ticket theater and digital download combo in Canada

Cineplex Entertainment and Warner Bros. Entertainment join forces to offer Canada’s first Super Ticket offering for the much anticipated Guillermo del Toro summer blockbuster, Pacific Rim, showing on July 12.

This offer includes the movie ticket and pre-order of the UltraViolet digital version of Pacific Rim ($19.99 for standard definition and $24.99 for high definition), which will be available before the DVD and Blu-Ray release. Super Ticket purchasers will also get additional 725 points for Cineplex’s loyalty program and access to exclusive extra content. Super Ticket sales opened on July 5 at Cineplex.com, participating Cineplex theater box offices or automated ticketing kiosks, or through the Cineplex mobile app.
