Review: Nokia Lumia 610 Windows Phone

Nokia Lumia 610 represents Nokia’s ability to create inexpensive handsets that don’t feel cheap yet manage to bring a unique personality of their own. The Lumia 610 exemplifies the humbler Windows Phone handset. One that is deprived of the Lumia 800 and 900’s polycarbonate shell, 8 Megapixel camera and bricklike construction but still manages to stand out in its simplicity.

Windows Phone Mango update finally rolling out

The much awaited update to Windows Phone, version 7.5 codenamed Mango is starting to roll out. We tried our devices but the update was not yet available although Microsoft says it should be out soon. With hundreds of new features and improvements, Mango is a more competetive mobile os that Microsoft hopes will take some market share from Google's Android and the iPhone. Below is part of the press release on Mango.

Starting today, the next version of Windows Phone is en route to customers. Code named Mango, the update will gradually ramp so that it will be available for free to most existing Windows Phone customers by the end of October. Fujitsu Toshiba announce IS12T, world's first Mango smartphone

While the world waits with bated breath for Microsoft to release the long discussed and awaited Mango (WP 7.5) update to their Windows Phone OS. Fujitsu Toshiba  recently revealed their upcoming IS12T Windows Phone with Mango. Aside from a convoluted name and an array of colours (Black, Green and Pink). This smartphone is waterproof, pushes the built-in camera spec sheet with a 13 megapixel sensor and should see the light of day sometime in September althought no Canadian specific availability has been announced.

As for Mango, yeah we're waiting on that too. Microsoft has already reportedly placed the OS in manufacturer's hands and the next chapter of this epic waiting game continues.
