Bose to purchase high-end audio company McIntosh

Bose plans to buy the McIntosh Group from private equity firm Highlander Partners for an undisclosed amount. Aside from the McIntosh brand, The deal also includes Sonus faber, an Italian company that produces hand-made premium high-end speakers. The acquisition will give the audio company access to the luxury audio equipment market and more opportunities to provide audio for luxury car brands like Maserati and Lamborghini.

Bose CEO Lila Snyder told CNBC in an interview it isn't ruling out the possibility of introducing more premium McIntosh-branded headphones and accessories.We do think there’s a real opportunity around wearables in the luxury and high-performance space as well, which is something that we would expect you to see from us down the road,Synder said.

Samsung begins One UI 6 rollout to older Galaxy smartwatches

Samsung has started rolling out its One UI 6 Watch update to its older Wear OS smartwatches. The update comes to the Galaxy Watch6 before making its way to the Galaxy Watch FE, Galaxy Watch5, and Galaxy Watch4 in the coming weeks.

Microsoft Teams tests AI interpreter that sounds like you

Microsoft's newest artificial intelligence feature, which is coming to Teams, allows you to sound like you are speaking a language you are not. The app offers a new AI interpreter that simulates your voice and provides near-real-time voice interpretation.

The feature is being tested by a limited group of users and is expected to roll out in 2025 for accounts with a Microsoft 365 Copilot license. It initially supports nine languages: Chinese (Mandarin), English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese (Brazil) and Spanish. Microsoft plans to add more languages in the future.

The iPhone 17 Air, expected to launch in 2025, will be a mere 6mm thick, significantly thinner than any previous iPhone. This will make it a standout device in a lineup that maintains dimensions similar to its predecessors.
