BlackBerry Messenger adds Wi-Fi device support for iOS

BlackBerry has update Messenger for iOS with Wi-Fi only device support, meaning you can use the app on the iPad and iPod touch gadgets. The company also included the ability to share BBM Pins and barcode on social networks as well as invite contacts to groups via email.

Google brings Android KitKat to Nexus 7 and 10 devices

Google has announced the impending arrival of Android KitKat 4.4 OTA update for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10 devices, which started to roll out on Tuesday. But the update will first arrive to Wi-Fi only devices for the 7-inch tablets with mobile data-equipped Nexus 7 devices to get the update at a later date. The other Nexus devices (except for the Samsung Galaxy Nexus) will also get KitKat update “soon.”

Netflix redesigns interface

While Netflix recently announced a deal with Disney to distribute new Marvel shows, Netflix has now updated the look of its service. The user interface now features three big slideshow images, teaser summary as well as a Netflix-chosen personalized detail. The streaming video service also included visual and predictive search in the new update. The redesign, however, will only work for smart TVs, set-top boxes, Blu-ray players and game consoles. Mobile Netflix users won’t be able to see the new look.

Evernote for Android gets home screen customization, PDF annotation

Evernote updates its Android app to upgrade the Page Camera feature, which auto-enhances photos of handwritten notes, as well as allow all users to view recently used notebooks and hide Business notebooks. Premium Evernote users get PDF annotation capabilities through Skitch integration and home screen customization, which lets them hide items from the menu.
