Pinterest gets ahead of coronavirus misinformation with custom search results

Pinterest hopes to keep misinformation about the coronavirus (COVID-19) at bay with a new "custom search experience." The company's goal is that it gives you reliable information about the epidemic. When this experience is put in place, searching for terms like "coronavirus" and "COVID-19" will surface curated pins from the World Health Organization, like how to protect yourself and other questions and information you will need to know about the illness.

The company also told The Verge it would remove any misinformation it finds about the coronavirus since it violates its health misinformation policy.
