BTS to get exclusive Disney+ content
BTS fans have a bunch of content to look forward to on Disney+. The streaming service announced a collaboration with BTS's label Hybe for what it describes as "five major content titles." At least three of those five titles will feature BTS in some form.
There's BTS: Permission to Dance On Stage — LA, a 4K film documenting the band's live performance at the Sofi Stadium last November. And then there's also BTS Monuments: Beyond the Star, a docuseries about the band that will feature "unprecedented access to a vast library of music and footage over the past nine years."
Disney+ will also host In The Soop: Friendcation, a travel reality show with BTS member V and other entertainers, including Parasite's Choi Wooshik, a close friend of V. The program will showcase the group "venturing on a surprise trip and enjoying a variety of leisure and fun activities." It looks like a BTS In the Soop spinoff, a two-season reality show that followed the band on remote vacations. These programs are part of Disney's plan to expand Korean content with hopes of greenlighting "over 50 APAC Originals" by 2023.
