Sony Inzone Buds are wireless earbuds for gamers

Sony

Sony is expanding its wireless earbuds lineup with the new Inzone Buds, a US$199.99 (around CA$272) pair of low-latency earbuds designed for gamers. The Inzone Buds are part of Sony’s Inzone brand for PC gaming. But the Inzone Buds have some extra perks for PS5 gamers as well.

The Inzone Buds are meant to be more comfortable than traditional gaming headsets, with no headband or earcups to weigh you down. They have an angled design, with various ear tip sizes to fit your ears. You can also control them with touch sensors on each earbud.

The sound quality of the Inzone Buds is comparable to Sony’s WF-1000XM5 buds, as they use the same "Dynamic Driver" technology. They also have active noise cancellation and ambient sound modes to suit your preferences.

But the Inzone Buds shine when it comes to gaming performance. They can connect to any Bluetooth LE Audio device, but for PC and PS5, you can use the included USB-C adapter to reduce audio latency to less than 30 milliseconds. This will make spatial audio more accurate and immersive, helping you locate enemies and other sounds in games.

The Inzone Buds also use artificial intelligence to filter out noise from keyboards and PC fans, so you can chat with your friends without any distractions. The battery life of the Inzone Buds depends on how you use them. With the USB-C dongle, they can last up to 12 hours on a single charge, and up to 24 hours with the charging case. With Bluetooth LE Audio, they can last up to 24 hours on a single charge, and up to 48 hours with the charging case. The Inzone Buds take two hours to fully charge, but you can get an hour of battery life with just five minutes of charging.

For PS5 users, the Inzone Buds have some extra features. The console will show you the connection, volume, and microphone status of the earbuds on the screen. The Inzone Buds also support the PS5’s Tempest 3D Audiotech for a more realistic sound experience.
