Retrospekt and Peanuts celebrate 50 years of Beagle Scouts with retro-tech gear
Do you love Snoopy, nature, and vintage cameras? If so, you might want to check out the latest collaboration between Retrospekt and Peanuts. The two brands have joined forces to create a nostalgic collection of retro-tech gear inspired by the Beagle Scouts, the adventurous group of scouts led by Snoopy in the Peanuts comic strip.
The Beagle Scouts were introduced by Charles Schulz in 1974 and quickly became popular among fans for their spirit of exploration and appreciation of nature. Now, you can capture their timeless charm with a special-edition Polaroid instant camera, a 35mm film camera, and a portable cassette player, all featuring vibrant Beagle Scouts graphics.
The highlight of the collection is the Polaroid 600 Beagle Scouts, a refurbished instant film camera made from vintage Polaroid models from the 1980s and 90s. The camera has a new shell with colourful Beagle Scouts illustrations and comes with interchangeable patches of the gang.
The collection also includes the FC-11, a 35mm film camera that is compatible with standard 35mm film, and the CP-81, a cassette player with matching headphones that offers a nostalgic audio experience. Both devices have a sleek design with Beagle Scouts' details.
To complete the look, Retrospekt has designed two camera bags in forest green and tan colours, reminiscent of classic outdoor gear. The bags are lined with Peanuts comic strips featuring the Beagle Scouts and are versatile enough for various uses.
The Polaroid camera costs US$179 (around CA$243) and uses Polaroid 600 film, the film camera costs US$59 (~CA$80), and the cassette player costs US$99 (~CA$135). These exclusive pieces are available for purchase or preorder directly from Retrospekt’s website.
