Apple CEO teases new 'Air' device launch this week

Apple CEO Tim Cook ignited speculation about a new product launch, teasing "something in the air" in a recent post on X. The cryptic message, accompanied by a short video, indicates an announcement is expected this week.

While Cook remained tight-lipped about the specific device, industry insiders believe a new MacBook Air is the most likely candidate. Reports from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman suggest Apple is preparing to unveil 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air models powered by the upgraded M4 chip. This aligns with Apple's previous launch of the M3 MacBook Air around the same time last year.

However, the "Air" moniker extends beyond MacBooks. Rumours persist about updated iPad Air models, with Gurman noting a recent depletion of existing iPad Air inventory, hinting at an imminent release. While speculation has also touched on a potential iPhone "Air," an announcement at this juncture is considered less probable.
