eSports and Northern Arena makes a big splash at Fan Expo Canada

Northern Arena hosted a live and viewable eSports extravaganza at Fan Expo in Toronto

eSports is continuing its surge in popularity which was recently punctuated by a huge showing at Fan Expon in downtown Toronto. Northern Arena hosted 16 teams from around the world battling for more than $100,000.00.

"Northern Arena is our first eSports initiative in Canada," said Co-Founder/CEO & Executive producer of Canadian League of Gamers Carl-Edwin Michel. "We're really happy to have been in Fan Expo because there's bee a lot of video game content an we're taking it to the next level with eSports competitions. It's great to see the fans and have them here watching the action as it unfolds."

Dyson's 360 Eye Robot vacuum is now available in Canada

Apple WWDC 2016 reveals macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, iOS 10 in software-focused event

Apple focused on macOS, iOS, watchOS and tvOS the four pillars of its software platform for 2016's World Wide Developer's Conference. The 27th yearly developer event was held at the Bill Graham Auditorium in San Francisco kicked off with Apple CEO Tim Cook condemning the terrorist attack in Orlando and then segueing to the business at hand. WWDC has 5000 total attendees from 74 countries.

Cook didn't run down the numbers or talk about sales, device adoption which are staples of his keynotes. Instead he gave up the stage to various Apple Executives to introduce the new features. Hit jump for a hot take on what was revealed.

Microsoft announces smaller Xbox One S for $399

Microsoft has officially announced  the thinner, lighter Xbox One S which stands for 'Slim', the device will be sold as a 500GB, 2TB and 3TB variants starting at US $299 and shipping in August.

This new Xbox One improves over its three-year old predecessor with 4k video support, a slimmed down controller and a integrated power supply and can be positioned in vertical orientation. The device will also ship in white and is 40 per cent smaller than the OG Xbox One. Pricing in Canada starts at $399 for the 500 GB version and the device will ship in August with preorders starting soon.
