Code-named Project Eve, the group will focus on all aspects of electric vehicles (EVs), including electric motors and drivetrains, battery management, recycling, auxiliary power technologies, smart grids, cognitive car technologies, and engineering and design.

Motoring: Scion to launch this month in Canada


Toyota’s Scion brand launches in Canada this month, featuring three models that start as low as $17,200. Although the brand is popular in the U.S., it is the first time Scion has been offered in Canada. The new Scion models will compete in the subcompact, sport utility and compact sport segments and will be highly customizable vehicles.

Ford's new Police pursuit vehicles launched

Ford has recently released its new Police Interceptor pursuit-rated vehicle, the company’s first specially-designed SUV for police work. The new model complements the new Police Interceptor sedan, introduced earlier this year.

Both models will debut simultaneously and be offered without interruption when production of the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor ends at the company’s plant in St. Thomas, Ontario in late 2011. The new models are built in Chicago.

Motoring: Bentley to unveil new Continental in online exclusive

Bentley will reveal its new and compelling vision of the Continental GT next month with a unique internet reveal. The luxury carmaker plans the global unveiling of its newest model to be an Internet exclusive. The studio lights are switched-on and the cameras will start rolling 1500 British Summer Time on Tuesday September 7.
