Sony buys Firewalk Studios

Image: Sony Interactive Entertainment

Sony Interactive Entertainment struck a deal with Firewalk Studios to publish a PlayStation 5 exclusive multiplayer game. Now, it's buying the studio outright. Sony announced that it reached an agreement with ProbablyMonsters Inc to acquire the studio.

The deal will roll Firewalk Studios and its team into the PlayStation brand. But its operations will continue to be run by the studio's existing management team. However, Sony didn't mention anything about the PS5-exclusive title it's working on, but it wanted to highlight the team's experience with working on Destiny at Bungie and Activision.

'Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores' teases DLC release

A few days before its release, Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores gets one more trailer. Sony and Guerrilla Games offer a fresh look at this new chapter of Aloy's story. Burning Shores is a volcanic archipelago that was once home to Los Angeles. The teaser trailer also gives a closer look at the Metal Devil boss fight. That specific battle is why this DLC won't be available on the PlayStation 4. It requires a lot of memory and processing power.

'God of War Ragnarök' rolls out New Game+ update

Image: Sony

God of War Ragnarök gets its latest significant upgrade with the launch of the New Game+ pack. It's a new adventure that unlocks when you beat the game, bringing all your equipment, weapon, and skills from your previous save. There are new things to look forward to, though, including new armour sets, new customization options for pre-existing armour types, and the level cap is increased for both enemies and players.

You can now convert any level nine equipment into Plus versions with more progression options. You'll get special coins for this conversion, which you can use to purchase new Enchantments. Endgame bosses have also been redesigned, the sparring arena also gets expanded with new enemies, and there's a new black-and-white mode. The free God of War Ragnarök NG+ is available now.
