Adobe to end Flash on Android today

The Adobe Flash plugin, once touted to offer "the full web experience" on mobile devices is officially terminated on Android devices starting today. Adobe hasn't been developing Flash for mobile devices and today it completely pulls out of the Android marketplace. Adobe made the announcement late last year by stating that, "HTML 5 is best solution for creating and deploying content in the browser across mobile platforms."

NBC and Adobe join forces to launch two 2012 Olympics iOS apps

NBC Olympics is launching two apps today, both built by and powered by Adobe as part of its comprehensive coverage of the London 2012 Olympic Summer Games.

NBC Olympics partnered with Adobe, which built both apps and is powering them through the conclusion of the Games. The NBC Olympics Live Extra and NBC Olympicsapps are available on select Android handset and tablet devices within Google Play, and on the App Store for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Artist's Canadian Mosaic Project focuses on 35,000 portraits of a nation

When photographer Tim Van Horn packed his belongings, camera gear and two dogs into a trailer, he set off for an epic art project. Called the Canadian Mosaic Project, Van Horn was inspired by the Canadian Flag and decided to create both the largest tapestry and the biggest portrait of a nation.

Tim Van Horn was in Toronto recently to continue his mission towards 35,000 Canadian portraits for Canada's 150th birthday in 2017. This number represents a seemingly miniscule .1% of the population of Canada but it will be the most comprehensive portrait ever created on the Canadian people.
