Google Chromebooks now available in Canada

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

If you've been craving a cloud-connected Chromebook, here's some very excellent news. Google is making its line of Chromebooks available in Canada starting this week. Google might sell the Chromebooks off its Play Store on the web or on Android devices but we've been told that the Samsung  ($269.99) and Acer ($249.99 and $279.00) Chromebooks will be available at both BestBuy.ca and Futureshop.ca online and will soon be available in store on April 3rd.  The HP Chromebook ($329.99) will be available at HPshopping.ca. These Chromebooks are also available to schools and businesses in Canada.

Chromebooks come with 100 GB of free storage on Google Drive for two years, so you can get to all of your stuff anytime, anywhere.

Want to learn more about the Chromebook experience, check out my review from late last year on the Google Chromebook Series 3 from Samsung. No news on whether the super premium Chromebook Pixel is coming to Canada but if the other models sell well, who knows.

WishList: The Little Printer that could...make printing cool again

By Gadjo Cardenas Sevilla

Not that printing isn't already cool, but it's sort of been upstaged by the temporary nature of smartphones, tablets and their screens, both of which haven't really been properly designed to talk to printers.

BERG Cloud has created The Little Printer, which on the surface seems like a mini-printer for mobile devices but it represents so much more. It is a social printer that can print messages from your friends, the latest gossip, puzzles and even cobble together a mini newspaper with itsy-bitsy articles that will appeal to you. It provides the social ticker tape of your life.
