Blizzard receives to backlash over ‘Diablo: Immortal’

After announcing the arrival of Diablo: Immortal for mobile devices, Blizzard was hit by tons of negative comments and reactions from its community of players. The trailers for the game have received a disproportionate amount of dislikes over likes, both for its cinematic trailer and gameplay trailer. One attendee at BlizzCon even asked if the game’s announcement was “an out-of-season April Fool’s joke.” The negative response, IGN says, most likely stems from long-standing rumours surrounding new Diablo games coming with some assuming Diablo 4 was on its way. Blizzard announces ‘full-fledged’ ‘Diablo’ mobile RPG

Blizzard will be bringing Diablo to both Android and iOS. The developer announced at BlizzCon 2018 that the game is getting a “full-fledged action RPG” called Diablo Immortal. The game picks up after Diablo II: Lord of Destruction. The game will be a massive multiplayer online action game. It’ll let players drop in and out of groups as well as play through “dynamic events” as they travel through the Sanctuary. The classes include barbarian, crusader, demon hunter, monk, necromancer, and wizard.

Blizzard has opened pre-registration for those who would be interested to join the game’s upcoming beta. The game creator is working with NetEase to develop the game. They promise that there will be new characters and storylines introduced into the RPG.

Blizzard launches esports dedicated app

Blizzard is heavily invested in the esports market so it comes as no surprise that the developer just launched an app that focuses on this industry. The Blizzard Esports Mobile App, which is available on both iOS and Android, brings things like scores, schedules, and other game-centric updates in the similar vein as the NBA app does for the game. It currently supports the tournaments for titles like Overwatch, Hearthstone, Heroes of the Storm, StarCraft, StarCraft II, and World of Warcraft. But it must be noted that the Overwatch League isn’t included here. Perhaps in the future.
