Android Lollipop update for HTC One Google Play Editions gets delayed

A bit of bad news for those waiting for the Android 5.0 (Lollipop) update for the Google Play Editions of the HTC One M7 and M8 versions. The update is being pushed back a bit again. Mo Versi, vice president of product management at HTC, said there is another software version request, meaning more work still needs to be done until the update is released. Versi did promise its users though that they will let us know when the update is finally ready and that it gets its nod from Google.

Google Play Editions of HTC One tipped to get Android L update next week

Good news for users of the Google Play Editions of the HTC One. You’ll be getting the Android 5.0 Lollipop update as early as next week, according to HTC’s Vice President of Product Management Mo Versi. Versi didn’t specify though if the HTC One M8 or the One M7 will be getting the update at the same time or separately. Once the roll out starts, the HTC One GPE will be one of the few handsets to carry the latest Android build. They’ll be joining the ranks of the Nexus devices, Motorola Moto X and Moto G, and LG G3.
