JBL launches Live 770NC and Live 670NC noise-cancelling headphones with True Adaptive tech

JBL

If you are looking for a standard pair of headphones with noise-cancelling features, you might want to check out the JBL Live 770NC and JBL Live 670NC. These are the upgraded versions of the popular JBL Live 660NC headphones.

What makes them stand out is their True Adaptive Noise Cancelling with Smart Ambient technology, which automatically adjusts the noise cancellation and ambient sound levels according to your environment and preferences. You can also personalize the sound profile to your liking with the Personi-Fi 2.0 technology. And you can enjoy immersive and realistic audio with the JBL Spatial Sound and Signature Sound. The former creates a 3D soundstage, while the latter delivers clear and balanced sound with 40mm dynamic drivers.

JBL's new TWS earbuds have a touchscreen case

Source: JBL

JBL introduces a new pair of true wireless earbuds with an LED touchscreen display on the charging case. (Yes, similar to what we've seen on the HP Poly Voyager Free 60 Plus!) The new Tour Pro 2 earbuds have what JBL claims is the "world's first smart charging case." The 1.45-inch LED touchscreen on the case offers music and call control and access to social media and message notifications. JBL says this will keep you from looking at your phone. Of course, that's thinking you have the case within reach.

Meanwhile, the earbuds themselves are built as flagship earbuds. The Tour Pro 2 has adaptive active noise cancellation with an ambient sound mode, 10mm drivers, spatial audio, and JBL's Pro sound. Personi-fi 2.0 lets you customize the audio profile to suit your listening habit. And there's an ear tip fit test to ensure proper fit. For calls, there are six microphones onboard with JBL's VoiceAware tech.

JBL has a new soundbar with detachable rear speakers

Source: JBL

One of the new devices JBL launched at IFA 2022 is a quartet of new Atmos-capable soundbars. Two of these are battery-powered wireless rear speakers that you can detach for that surround sound theatre experience and dock back into the sides of the soundbars to recharge. This JBL Bar 1000 is an 11.1-channel performer with four upward-firing speakers for Dolby Atmos 3D sound. It also gets a wireless subwoofer and supports DTS:X 3D surround sound.

It's similar to 2020's JBL Bar 9.1, but this unit gets two more drivers for a 7.1.4 arrangement and increased power output from the Bar 9.1's 820W to 880W. The JBL Bar 1000 retails for US$1,149 (around CA$1,513 converted).
