Kaspersky PURE security suite available online and in stores

Kaspersky Lab recently announced the availability of their Kaspersky PURE suite of security applications for Windows 7. Designed around families and home users, Kaspersky PURE integrates internet protection, parental controls, antivirus solutions, anti-theft solutions and can manage the various computers in a household from one central computer. Kaspersky PURE starts at $89.95 for 1 year protection for three PCs.

Study: Six in ten kids have had negative online experiences

The Internet can be a scary place and as social networking and online gaming become more common, personal privacy, online safety and its effect on children is an increasing concern. A recent study of 2,800 kids worldwide from Norton revealed that children and parents need to be more aware of what's out there and how to deal with it.

Norton Warns of Major Internet Explorer Vulnerability

Microsoft recently announced a zero-day vulnerability that affects Internet Explorer 6, 7 and 8.  What is a zero-day vulnerability?  It means there’s a hole in Internet Explorer that a cybercriminal can take advantage of by creating a malicious threat that targets anyone who is using the vulnerable browser and is not protected. They’ll use tricks like spam, phishing, or fake websites that show up on search results to lure people to an infected site.
