ChatGPT's foray into the world of wireless earbuds finally arrived, and it's Nothing leading the charge. Their latest products—the Ear and Ear (a)—boast an "industry-first" integration with ChatGPT. This allows Nothing Phone users (including the new Phone 2a) to seamlessly launch the chatbot with a simple pinch gesture on their earbuds.
The impact extends beyond audio. Nothing promises "system-level" ChatGPT features within Nothing OS. This paves the way for innovative AI-powered screenshot sharing, widgets, and likely more advanced ChatGPT functionalities in the future.
Following last week's update that brought bug fixes and camera optimizations, the Nothing Phone 2a is receiving another software update, this time honing in specifically on the camera. The Nothing OS 2.5.4.a update enhances the smartphone's camera performance in several ways. It improves the overall colour accuracy and photo saturation, along with better results in Portrait Mode.
Additionally, the update optimizes compatibility with certain power adapters and addresses a few bugs that were previously identified. To check for the update, navigate to Settings > System > System Update on your Nothing Phone 2a.
Budget phones are often overlooked for their lacklustre features, but the Nothing Phone 2a tries to break that stereotype. As Nothing's third phone and their first foray into the realm of budget-friendly devices, the Phone 2a impresses with its accessible pricing.
It offers considerable value, starting at just €329 (around CA$484) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage model and €379 (~CA$559) for the 12GB and 256GB variant. Preorders are now open, with shipping slated for March 12.
